Who Gets LUPUS ?

LUPUS is found throughout the world and affects all races and ethnic groups.  It occurs much more frequently in women than men, and may affect newborn babies.  When women are affected, it is usually during their childbearing years, the 15-45 age group.

Up to ten years ago there were few cases of SLE diagnosed here in Ireland.  Today it is increasingly diagnosed and is becoming one of the more general conditions facing the doctors.
